PANIC!!!!!

Poor Claire. She was asked to eat some spanish rice tonight for supper. I separated the meatballs from the rice as she prefers to have "naked" meatballs. I also gave her the tiniest little pile of rice. The kids wanted chocolates after supper and I being the evil mother that I am, told her she needed to try some of the rice or she would get no sweets. She didn't want anything on the rice. Major panic ensued as Hud tried to take a grain of rice at a time, clean it off and give the fork to her. DAD, DAD, I saw an onion!!!!!!!!! EEEEEWWWWWWW get the tomatoe off it!!!!! She did manage, in the end, to eat about twenty grains of rice one or two at a time, and gag down (literally) three meatballs. It's amazing to me that she is growing at all.

My daughter was that way with carrots more than anything else. I think she actually thought we were torturing her when we said she had to eat ONE carrot slice. Poor baby, still hates those things.

She and I plan to see Memoirs of a Geisha is we get the chance while it is still in theaters. If not, we will have to rent it later. It looks like it will be a good movie. We go to a Japanese restaurant here that is really good. They cook on the hibachi grill and everything is so delicious!!!!

Awww, poor Claire. I feel bad for her. I was a kid who enjoyed most foods, so this is hard for me to understand. Although, I was blessed with a household of Claire's as you know. Hubby-unit being the worst of all. And look at him! He didn't waste away...it's amazing how little food you can survive on. Good luck to you, hopefully her appetite will pick up soon. Huggs.

you should have that minute rice on hand, you can make even the tiniest amount in a few minutes, completely naked.

Pour soul. She'll be okay. As long as she gets a tablespoon a day she is fine. That's what I go by with my kids....but they have other issues.

I have one kid just like that and it drives me bonkers! She decides from the smell while it is cooking if she intends to eat dinner or not.

Good luck with your picky eater!

LOL. Picky eaters crack me up. I used to be one of them. Too bad I'm not anymore. It would help with the whole weight loss thing ;)
