HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!

Today my precious boy, you turn five! It doesn't seem that long ago that I was waiting for you to come. You were so much fun from the very beginning. Always into everything, afraid of nothing. Although that sometimes gets you into a spot of trouble, it is a quality that will serve you well. You are our rough and tumble, throw yourself into everything boy, but also our most sensitive kid! You might be the first to throw a punch, but you are the first to solve the problem in the end.

You have a fierce love for your siblings and Dad and I, and we hope that never changes. A Sam hug is about the best one could ever receive. Your sense of humour rivals Daniel and Claire's so we are always laughing. Of course, as you know that always makes it hard for me to be serious when I need to correct you as well!

I love you Samuel Craig! I pray that this next year is one where you really grow in many ways. I pray that you continue to embrace life and to love as fiercely as you do now! Happy birthday my boy!

This makes number four!

Today Rosa has her fourth chemo treatment. Her last treatment was rough and so we are praying that this one will not be as bad. Apparently they get progressivly worse as far as the effects go. We gathered at her place the other night for some fun, and managed to spend the night laughing. Laughter is fabulous medicine for all of us, enabling us to get out from under the cloud for a little while. This treatment today takes her over the half way mark, which is something to celebrate! September will mark the end of this course of treatment and then radiation may be used as well.


September will also bring us to the Run For The Cure. We have created a team in Rosa's honour. If you wish to donate to the cause, you can do so at

FABULOUSLY FRESH FEET!!!!!

Nothing could have been better than last nights gathering of girls. Foot soaks, foot scrubs, toenail polish, foot lotion, yummy nachos, great drinks, birthday cake and lots of laughter made for a fabulous evening of relaxation. We even inducted the wee babes into the sisterhood!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE

Claire turned seven yesturday and celebrated with her friends on Saturday. It's hard to believe that time has flown by so fast, taking my little girl with it. She is acting older all the time, becoming a most entertaining member of the family. Her humour and sarcasm are right up there with her older brother's so it is never dull. She continues to be dedicated to school and piano, her family and friends, making us proud all the time. Claire, we love you so much and are so thankful that you are ours! We hope that this next year is one of your best yet and that you enjoy it to the fullest!
