This man...
...is my birth father. I have only known him for the last six years. It has been six years of getting to know one another, realizing our differences and celebrating the ways in which we are alike. Acceptance of everything about one another even if we disagree. Our ideas are rarely the same but we're ok with that.
On Sunday he had a mini stroke. Tuesday he was told that he has a brain aneurysm. Yesturday he received a call from the neurologist with additional concerns based on the location of the aneurysm. September sixth he meets with the specialist. He has been told that he will live or he will die. There is no inbetween. Please pray that the specialist will know exactly what to do for him, and that Lord willing he gets to live.

Alison my prayers are with you and your family.
Praying again...
Adding my prayers too...
Alison, you have my prayers. Most certainly I know what you are going through.
I was adopted and searched out my biological family as an "adult" (if that's what I could be called at 21)
I have a relationship with my biological mother, however I have no idea (well okay, I suspect I do know) who my b.father is. (long story).
Regardless, I know those feelings and those worries, so I will pray a lot for you and your family and most of all, your birth father and the specialist he meets with.
He looks like a kind man.
I prayed that he would recover. I hope to read good news after the 6th. It would be such a terrible loss at any time, but especially since you've not had that long to get to know one another.
I hope you have more years together.
Oh my. I will pray!
You know you are all in my thoughts. (And now I have to change my password.)
I will be praying.
I just spent quite a few minutes catching up on your recent happenings. Quite the action-packed summer! We'll have to actually make contact one of these days:)
Alison, I will be praying for him to get good news so that you might enjoy many more years together.
Cute new nephew!
I'm sorry. He'll be in my prayers.
Hey friend,
I have returned to the world of blogging. Been so busy this past month havent had much time for me. But I am back and want you to know your dad is in my prayers. Please keep us updated on his prognosis.
Hey my neighbour. How are things with your dad? I will see you tomorrow when we take the kiddies to school. Praying for your dad and also for Sam's first day (and for his momma especially). Huggs xo Shel
