And so we say good-bye.....

The funeral for Matyas' was this afternoon. What a heart wrenching service. One of the biggest things that touched me was the difference in our cultures as far as how we express our grief. We would be inclined to weep silently, putting on a brave face. Samea on the other hand wept openly and loudly. Her grief was so intense. She could hardly walk down the aisle as she hasn't eaten more than a few sips of soup the last few days. Hudson said that last night at the visitation was even more heart breaking as she cried so much, almost to the point of falling asleep. At one point she reached over and rubbed Matyas' head speaking quietly to him.

Please continue to pray for her and her children. She has stopped nursing the baby, and is still not talking with the others. Hudson will go again tomorrow to be with the children.

The family was featured on the news last night and was on the front page of the paper today and today many, many calls from people wanting to help have come into the church and for that we are all very thankful.

Be extra thankful for your families, and stay safe!

I will be praying for them. How horribly sad to have this happen at this time of the year.

Thank You for updating us. The only thing you can do is surround them with love and do all you can to meet their needs. God be with you all.

I think of this family many times a day. I am so happy to hear many in the community are coming to help. She will need a lot of support from everyone for awhile.

Her family is in my prayers.

I will keep her and her children in my prayers. I wish that I could do more.

I can't imagine what this family must be going through, and hope none of us ever experiences this kind of loss. But your entry underscores just how precious life is, and how much we have to treasure it because it can disappear with no notice at all.

I'm going to go hug my wife and kids now.

Tragedy notwithstanding, I'm so glad I found your blog. I enjoyed reading the sentiment in each of your entries. I'll be back.
