While looking at huge red and white industrial smokestacks on the Halifax Harbour, "Look Mom, those chimneys are helping God make clouds!!!"
And totally unrelated, why is it that normally my slow cooker is really slow and needs extra hours to cook anything and when I put it on early to compensate for that since it is swimming night does it cook the meal by lunchtime?!?

i don't know about that slow cooker of yours, but i know my kids are ready to eat their dinner just after lunch. and what are you having in your slow cooker?
Peanut Salsa chicken. Very yummy, a little spicy, perfect after a freezing day and swimming lessons....

Re: slow cookers, mine is fussy too. What Sam said is just so darling! My Garret proudly told me yesterday he has been asking his friends at school if they believe in God. He said, "Hey mom, almost all the kids in my class believe in God, but when I asked if he lives in their hearts, not as many said yes. Guess I have a lot of work to do." On his own. No prodding from us. He's so funny one minute and then totally deep the next minute! Kids are the best!
I got a new slow cooker this Christmas. Big enough to fit a turkey in! The old one was acting like yours....

You know, if I was going to choose to move someplace in Canada other than Southern Ontario, Halifax would be it. That is so cute what Sam said about the clouds. Oh, and, it sounds like you might need a new slow cooker. I'm sure you could justify the expense since it's something you use a lot.
