What we do for sentimentality....
I was going through a box of letters today, very surprised at how many I kept. I have them dating back to the eighties, this one being no different. What made this one special was the fact that it contained something. It took us only a minute to figure out it was a piece of what we think was black licorice sent to me by my sister from camp in 1989. That's one old piece of candy. It fell apart in our hands, but the letter will go back in the box with the other save worthy ones.

HIlarious! I am sure this memory will mean even more to you now that you have a newer memory to accompany it as well.
On another note, thanks for your bloggy encouragement. I really, really appreciate it!
A few months ago my mother gave me an old box of random items I had left in storage at her place. Among the items were several notes from various girlfriends in junior high and high school. Boy that brought back some memories :)
I have a keepsake box of old letters and photos.
What fun it is to sift through those memories.
I haven't done it in a long time.
I'm sure you enjoyed your momentos.
I LOVE black licorice!!
i love black licorice!!!
that is hilarious.
Old letters are priceless. Especially since it is a lost art. I have a box filled with special letters.
Awh! LOL. How sweet. I keep old letters and greeting cards, too. It's almost impossible for me to get rid of them.
